Boavista Property
Boavista is known for its desert-like appearance which has the hot and dry winds from the Sahara for a reason. The island is therefore also known as "the sand dune isle". Those who are interested in water sports such as sailing, diving, surfing, fishing, and kayaking will soon find out that Boavista is the ideal place to be. Beaches like Curralinho (which is also the largest one) count as some of the best on Cape Verde. If you are interested in visiting the beautiful island of Boavista, it is advisable to book rooms in advance, since the accommodation facilities on the island are limited and can only be found in the capital Sal Rei.
Additional to the wide range of water sports that are provided on the island, there are also walking tours across the sand dunes and other activities available. Should you have your own transport, you can also visit the island's highlights or some of the more quiet and romantic beaches. A craft centre is located only a short distance from Chave beach and is worth a visit for those who are interested in the production of ceramics.
